Where can I go to Church?

Church is the coolest place on earth to be in. It offers amazing friendships, job opportunities, a place to grow your talents and abilities, and counselling. Generally it is a place that makes you a better person in all ways.

The way to find a good church is first ask any of your friends that go to church. You may have heard of a really good one, or you may know of one in your area.

Neighbourhood and local churches are great. They are smaller. You will meet people from your area. This is excellent for relationship building. Neighbourhood churches are easier in some ways to get involved in, as most are seeking to grow and eager for new people to attend.

If not, then go on “Google” and look for one that would suit you. Many young people seek a church that has a lot of young people. You may have to go to one of the larger churches in your city. Often these churches are are so large, they attract people from all over the city and not necessarily from the local area they are in.

These large churches are designed to attract youth. They have bands, loud worship, education opportunities, small interactive groups and opportunities for you to be involved in. They help to grow you personally, to harness your life goals. You will enjoy these churches. I used to go to one and met my wife there. A lot of young people do!

In these churches you will find a diverse array of people having a common thread – each has or is seeking an encounter with Jesus Christ. This is what you get when you go to church. As Jesus said, “wherever two or three are gathered, there am I in the midst”. When we sing and worship Jesus at church He manifests his presence and you can literally “feel the presence of God”. It is a beautiful presence that gives people strong comfort. You can feel this in your prayer time, but “corporate” worship releases great power.

Pray and ask God to direct you to a church and you will find He will lead you. You will love it.
