The Difference of Christianity and everyone else

In the world there is an array of religions, each claiming theirs is the right one.

I don’t set out here to undermine other religions. I respect them, as they all have some really good points. So long as those that practice them are trying to improve themselves, their immediate society and families, then they are on the right track. The problem with some of those who practice certain religions is that they veer too far into extremism, so religion becomes akin to racism, which is a harsh judgmental approach to others. As the saying says, “truth evermore stoops to wash the saints feet, while error always leads to militant exclusion”.

The difference between Christianity and the other religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism and Islam is the fact that Jesus is risen from the dead. He is alive and can and does speak to us as believers, and guides in practical ways in life.

In most other religions to “hear” from God is impossible, but with Christianity, because Jesus is alive, He guides us and speaks to us, comforts us and expresses his great love to us daily in words and the amazing things he does for us.

Christianity expresses the immensity of God’s love in that he did what nobody else could do – He sacrificed his Sons life for us on the Cross so we can be forgiven for our sins and be reunited with him as sons and daughters of God.

Another aspect of Christ’s great love for you and me interestingly are two important pillars of Christianity – the establishment of schools with an amazing education system, and health care systems. “Faith without works is dead”, the scriptures say. From the beginning of Christianity the establishment of schools and health care have been extremely important. I have had firsthand experience of this in jungle villages that have converted to Christianity. Christianity realises that if you can educate people and provide for healing when they are overtaken by sickness or disease, it is paramount in the establishment of a successful society. There is much in the world that tries to take such aspects of life away from us.

In view of the claim that religions worldwide present a way for the individual to attain “eternal life” I have had numerous discussions with practitioners of those faiths in my many years of ministering Christ’s gospel. I recount my own experience as a young man being taken in a trance to Heaven, standing before the throne of God and Him revealing to me his great love for me and others. I have found no other practitioner of another religion has experienced this.

Therefore as I, and others I have read about who have been granted this amazing privilege, I have not found nor heard of anyone in another religion with this experience. I am convinced that because we have a “blood covenant” in Jesus’ blood on the Cross of Calvary, a covenant that can never be broken, I can boldly state that God has manifested inestimable love intrinsically in the sacrifice of Jesus. He enables those who receive him as their sacrificial lamb to one day stand before Him with confidence, knowing that although they are not perfect, his love is manifested to such extent that He wants to live with us, to have an amazing, loving relationship for eternity. We shall gaze upon Him in awe and splendor throughout eternity.
