Prayer is an amazing experience. In prayer, close our eyes, sit still in a comfortable chair, on your bed or somewhere quiet and just talk to God.

You will after a while experience the Presence of God.

God really loves you so much, and He is just waiting for you to start praying so he can come and become your best friend.

Tell God what you need in life, what you are thinking about. God loves to be thanked and praised just like our earthly fathers liked to be thanked and told how good they are.

Take time in prayer to be still before God and just enjoy His presence.

You can start off praying 5 minutes a day. You may want pray longer as you grow in God.

You can prayer quietly if you are driving your car, going for a walk, or in a situation where you need God to help you.

You can also “pray in tongues”. This is called speaking in tongues and is very powerful as we let the Spirit of God pray through us. This language is given by God to you by faith, and you can start by just opening your mouth and letting a language out – but not your native tongue. To start with it may sound silly, but press on and soon you will develop a prayer language. This language is because sometimes we don’t know what to pray for. For example, your life partner, what your best career path would be, how to overcome a problem you or someone you know has. So, by praying in tongues the Holy Spirit can pray for you in your prayer language and bring that answer into being.

The apostle Paul, who wrote a large portion of the New Testament, started many of the initial churches. He said that he, “spoke in tongues more than any man”.

Spending time with God in prayer is the best thing a man or women can do in their day. The bible says, “those that wait upon the lord shall lack no good thing”, that God is “rewarder of those who seek Him”.
